Drove to Leongatha looking for a new T.V. Discovered a great family bakery in the main drag “Weavers”. Simple and quiet. Alice was impressed that they did not charge for tomato sauce! Met Tahlia’s mother over a bottle of red.

Arrived at 1pm via a stop at Wonthaggi. Spent the day putting in curtains in bedrooms and living room – picture hooks and other paraphenalia. Jack spent some time playing with young Tahlia from the house on the corner of Ayr creek and Esplanade.
Our fourth consecutive journey to Anembo Cottage. Restful and tranquil excepting the building across the laneway. Spotted koalas in the gum trees on esplanade and enjoyed daily walks on the beach. Enjoyed staying in your peaceful haven and seeing a variety of birds. A highlight was seeing a koala climbing a eucalptus at dusk! Diana and Alistair.
We spent a lovely week in Inverloch and loved the gorgeous deck with the view of the garden. Renovations. The whole house has been re-arranged – re-plastered – re-wired – re-plumbed re-roofed and better kitchen facilities installed. Marty, Grandma, Alice and Jack down. Marty mowed grass and started to spread compost on garden. Got bogged in muck where old shed stood. Had to call R.A.C.V.
Stayed with Helen and Stuart next door. Marty steps on a nail while demolishing shed and is in agony all night. Raining.
A tiring day. Marty removed old roofing iron and weatherboards from shed. Hired a skip for rubbish removal. Had a pizza for tea in town.

Marty went to see man about fences, then started to demolish old shed. Electrician came to disconnect power first. Grandma went home
Not quite so cold last night. Men here at 8am to continue building shed. Finished early afternoon. The concrete floor was very muddy, so Marty cleaned that up first. Then he emptied stuff from old shed, and took a trailer of junk to tip.
Freezing cold last night. Had every blanket on bed. Was up and dressed by 7.30am. because workmen expected by 8am. The weather was O.K. and the men worked until 3pm. Tomorrow they will do the roof and sliding doors.
Grandma & Marty here to clean up after the new shed slab foundation. Three trips to tip with branches of trees – most of which were almost dead.
Jenny and her three kids got here about 11.30am. Nicer weather. Went down the beach walking and fishing, Had a nice bar-b-que for lunch. Terry J. came round to discuss alterations.
Alice and Jack turned up just ahead of her friends who came round for a bar-b-que. Cold, dull- but no rain.
Down street to see what the Easter Fair had to offer. Very cold and damp. Came home – put on the heater – then I put a damp towel over it to dry – blew the safety switch on the power board! LESSON! Do not put anything on the heater.
Marty and Grandma here on Good Friday, a couple of days before the rest of the family arrive. Nice day, but rained in the afternoon.
Marty and Grandma here to mow grass. Ground very dry although it rained yesterday, Next time we come, hopefully, we will have permission to pull down the old shed and get rid of a lot of rubbish. Very busy down the street could hardly find a parking spot!
A quick trip to put up the council signs – a requirement in order to remove some trees- for the new shed. Grass didn’t need mowing. Rained hard so we stayed indoors. Went to Eagles Nest for a short walk later.
